No. 87 Vintage Light Blue Chest of Drawers

Before...
I'm going to say that I am still amazed at the transformation of paint...

This was a yard sale find, that I wasn't particularly excited about, but I was shopping for dressers so it came home with me.

Here she is now...
See...isn't paint amazing!

Remember this self challenge?  Well, here is my "light blue".  This is a not too "baby blue" blue, sophisticated, beachy, with just a hint of green.  It's a mix of Behr's Oslo Blue and an oops paint (if you want the specifics, let me know). Homemade chalk paint mix, distressed and sealed with clear wax.

I've wanted to do chrome handles for a while, I think it is a great juxtaposition between the more rustic wood top and the clean shiny pulls.

The top is pine, and got sanded down and sealed with 2 coats of Fiddes and Sons dark wax.

Nice curves, and a fresh new color!

Available in the Roots & Wings Etsy Shop if you would like to take her home!

Blessings,
Jenni

  1. Lovely, lovely, lovely shade of blue. You did a good job. The dresser looks gorgeous. Paint is indeed a liquid magic wand.
