No. 77 Vintage Light Gray Sewing Table

Happy Friday!  I have a great little makeover for you today, for a great client, who has been so fun to work with!

Before...
To be honest, I was really not super excited about this little thing when I bought it.  I have been wanting to do a sewing table for a while, but this one just seemed a little blah...

But not anymore...

 Look at her now!

The top cleaned up so well!  This was one coat of Java Gel Stain from General Finishes, which I really love, but is sometimes a little too dark.  So I literally wiped this on and right off, it was still too dark.  A little mineral spirits on a rag, and perfect!

Finished the top with 2 coats of Poly-Acrylic in satin finiish.

The base is of course, homemade chalk paint (a mix of half Antique White, half Sparrow by Behr).  Distressed edges, and finished with Fiddes and Sons Clear Wax.  Love the light shine that wax gives!

This knob is the perfect contrast.  It could pick up several different colors too.  It's from Hobby Lobby.
There you have it.  A great nightstand, end table, side table, etc.

Have a great weekend!
Blessings!
Jenni
